This week on MTV News, we talked to Avago Technology CEO and co-founder Kevin Kranay about how the company has built the world’s first wireless camera to take the picture that no one else has, while offering the best quality video for free.
In the video above, you can see how Avago engineers created a wireless camera that allows for instant-on video recording with just one button.
The device’s built-in processor is powered by a single processor chip, allowing it to handle more than 2,000 frames per second (fps) and record images at 1,200 frames per minute (fps).
To see how the camera’s built, you’ll need a pair of cameras, an iPhone, a GoPro Hero4 Black, and an Android phone running the Android version of Avago Software.
The camera’s battery is also included, which should last up to three days.
The camera uses Avago wireless technology to connect to your smartphone via Bluetooth.
If you’re in the middle of a conversation, you won’t need to switch on your smartphone.
And if you’re a fan of the GoPro Hero series, you could actually shoot videos in real-time with the camera and the GoPro app on your phone.
The GoPro Hero 4 Black is a great device for those who love to take video, but it doesn’t capture the 360 degree footage that Avago is claiming to capture with the device.
The Hero4 offers 1,920 x 1,080 video resolution, but the company says that it is capable of capturing up to 60 frames per seconds (fps), which is not the same as the 1,600 fps video recorded with the GoPro HERO4 Black.
The company’s wireless camera is currently available in three colors: Black, Silver, and Silver/White.
It will be available in more colors later this year, and the company plans to have wireless cameras available for the iPhone in the coming months.
If Avago can keep its promise of delivering free, high-quality video, it’s likely that you’ll want to pick up a Hero4 to get your hands on one of these cameras.
